Bitterroot Imaging’s new MR unit is completely open on all four sides, providing greater patient comfort and offers a number of unique features and benefits for both patients and physicians. The award-winning design of the Altaire™ open MRI helps to eliminate claustrophobia and reduces patient anxiety. The advanced technology of the system also allows patients to have a loved one or friend close by during the examination—a recent development in MRI technology. 

Image quality is superb, and our equipment provides physicians and their patients with access to the most advanced diagnostic imaging techniques currently available in the industry. Specialty imaging for musculoskeletal, neurovascular and soft tissue studies can all be performed on our Open MRI system.

Image results can be electronically sent to radiologists and physicians, eliminating the need for transportation of film, and thus providing faster delivery of heath care services. Known as PACS (Picture Archiving & Communications System), this new technology processes X-rays digitally so they can be viewed on the radiologists’ or referring physician’s computer screens using high-resolution monitoring software. The images are archived, and are available to the ordering physician via the Internet.
